Well, hey everyone! Spring is here! (OK, officially about 24 hrs. from now) It\u2019s time for an update on what\u2019s coming my way in the near future:<\/p>\n
–\u00a0Time Peace\u00a0– We have a couple dates in April at Pub 51 on Woodville Rd., and there are a few tentative gigs penciled in for the summer so far. Stay tuned to my \u2018Schedule\u2019 page for dates and times.<\/p>\n
–\u00a0The Grape Smugglers\u00a0– Comprised of 2 guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and a horn section, the band is covering a fascinating spectrum of classic soul and R&B tunes, as well as some early rock gems, and some of the standout pop tunes of the 70s. Still no gigs booked as of right now, but our song list is filling out nicely. Look for some interesting things to happen with this ensemble.<\/p>\n
– Fill-in & Sub Gigs\u00a0– I played a few fill-in gigs with The Homewreckers in 2009, and hope to do more with this band this year.\u00a0 I\u2019ve also done some fill-in gigs with\u00a0Mt Fuji & the Eruptions<\/a>, a good-time party band that covers all the bar favorites.<\/p>\n – Musicals\u00a0– Spring means high school musical season is in overdrive. I recently played for Bedford High School\u2019s outstanding production of \u201cUrinetown: The Musical\u201d. I\u2019m currently doing Whiteford High School\u2019s \u201cAnnie Get Your Gun\u201d this week, and will soon be starting rehearsals for Ottawa Hills High School\u2019s presentation of \u201cAnnie\u201d. These evening rehearsals, on top of my regular day job, make for some very long, exhausting days. But, I\u2019m glad to be playing these shows and I\u2019m meeting some great new players.<\/p>\n
