I wasn’t able to attend the reception and exhibition of submissions to the annual Celebrating Nature Through Photography contest last weekend, due to a trip to visit family. But word on the street (or at least on the Metroparks website) is that I was awarded a Third Place ribbon in the Local Scenic category for my image titled “Winter Sunset.” Honorable Mentions were given for “Clouds and Corn”, also in the Local Scenic category, as well as “Leaf-Tailed Gecko” in the Open Nature Fauna category. A total of 637 images were submitted, 7 of which were mine.
Submissions will be on display during normal gallery hours through December 21st at the National Center for Nature Photography at Secor Metropark.
